Birdseed Biscuits

We are throwing a baby shower for a friend on Sunday. I volunteered to bring party favors, and quickly fell in love with this idea that I found somewhere on the forums of The Bump (will post the link if I can find it again!)

Birdseed Biscuits

(each batch makes once 4-inch heart or two 3-inch hearts)

3/4 cup birdseed

1 Tablespoon flour

2 Tablespoons water

foil, oil, baking sheet, cookie cutters, a straw cut in 2-in pieces

Preheat your oven to 170 degrees F. Oil your foil and the inside of your cookie cutters.

Place the cookie cutters on the foil (put the foil and cutters on a baking sheet). Mix the birdseed, flour and water.

Pack the birdseed mixture into the cookie cutters, and place a straw near the top of the heart. Bake (with the straw in!) for about an hour.

I added a pink ribbon and am working on tags to say “Baby S, hatching in September”
